Prime Strategies exists because too many Australian business owners have sat through a “strategy session” that produced a beautiful PDF and precisely zero extra dollars in the bank. We recruited, trained, and back a national network of Business Advisors, Coaches, Mentors and Consultants across every state and territory who are obsessed with one thing: results you can actually bank.

What Over a Decade of Advising Aussie Owners Has Taught Us
We’ve worked alongside tradies in Perth, hospitality operators on the Gold Coast, manufacturers in regional Victoria, and professional services firms in Sydney’s CBD. A handful of truths keep repeating, no matter the postcode:
Nobody’s good at everything despite what your ego insists at 2am after three coffees and a Red Bull
Knowing what you want is easy. Getting there without burning out, burning cash, or burning bridges with your staff is where it actually gets hard.
Most owners spend the bulk of their week working IN the business, not ON it then wonder why the same fires keep starting.
Not deciding is still deciding. Usually it’s a decision to keep white-knuckling it.
Here’s the landscape you’re actually operating in: small and medium businesses make up around 97–98% of all Australian businesses and employ roughly two-thirds of the private sector workforce. That’s an enormous amount of the economy resting on the shoulders of people juggling superannuation guarantee obligations, PAYG withholding, award wage compliance under the Fair Work system, rising insurance premiums, and an ATO that has gotten considerably less patient about overdue debt in recent years.
It doesn’t have to be this hard.
That’s why Prime exists — to give business owners strategy that works in the real world, accountability that doesn’t feel like a performance review, and support without the judgement. We do it because we genuinely believe a stronger small business sector makes for a stronger Australia — more jobs, more resilient regional towns, less reliance on the two or three big employers in every industry.
The Bottom Line
You don’t need to have all the answers. You don’t need to pretend you understand every ATO ruling or ASIC filing obligation off the top of your head. And you definitely don’t need to keep repeating the same mistakes and hoping for a different outcome next quarter.
You need someone in your corner who actually knows what they’re talking about, and who can explain it in English rather than consultant-speak.
That’s us.
What Makes Us Different (Everything, Basically)
01
No Corporate Jargon
What other advisors tell you:
- “Let’s leverage synergies across your value chain”
- “We’ll optimise your go-to-market strategy”
- “Time to action some scalable, best-practice solutions”
What we well you:
- “You’re underpricing your work”
- “That subscription you forgot about is costing you $400 a month”
- “Your customers have no idea what makes you different”
- “That’s not a strategy — that’s a to-do list with delusions of grandeur”
02
We Fix the Real Problems Not the Pretty Ones
Plenty of consultants love the glossy stuff — brand decks, mission statements, forecasts that look fantastic until your biggest client pushes payment out another 60 days.
We go after the unglamorous problems that genuinely sink businesses: cash quietly leaking out the side door, a sales pitch nobody understands, and margins so thin a bad month could tip you into insolvent trading territory — a phrase no director wants to hear from ASIC.
03
We’re Not Your Typical Suit-Wearing, Buzzword-Spouting Business Advisors
Most business advisors have never had to choose between paying themselves or their staff, negotiated with a supplier at 6pm on a Friday because cash was tight, or built a business from a garage, a ute, or a spare bedroom. We have. More than once. We’ve still got the scars — and the wins — to prove it.
Our Philosophy:
“Forget the MBA theory. Focus on what actually moves the needle. More profit, fewer hours, better sleep.”
04
We Know What “2am Panic” Feels Like
Too many advisors have conveniently forgotten what it’s like to lie awake calculating whether the BAS payment and payroll can both clear in the same week. We haven’t. We remember the sinking feeling of a client going quiet mid-project, and the fear that someone’s about to discover you’re figuring it out as you go. We know, because we’ve lived it.
Our Mission:
“Strip the drama out of business uncertainty. Kill the stress of not knowing. Fill in the gaps without making you feel like you should already know the answer.”
Our Process
Step 1
Figure Out What’s Actually Wrong
We get under the bonnet of your business and diagnose the real problem — not the symptom you’ve been fighting for months.
Step 2
Fix the Real Problem
Practical, real-world solutions built for how business actually works in Australia today — not theory from a business school case study written in 1997.
Step 3
Watch It Actually Improve
Better sleep. Better numbers. Less of that permanent low-grade dread. Groundbreaking stuff, we know.

FAQs For Australian Business Owners
What’s the difference between a business advisor and an accountant?
Your accountant handles compliance — BAS, tax returns, super obligations, ATO lodgements. We handle the business itself: strategy, sales, systems, pricing, and the decisions that determine whether there’s a healthy profit for your accountant to report on.
Is this only for big companies?
Not even close. Most of our clients are classic Australian SMEs — trades, retail, hospitality, professional services, manufacturing — usually somewhere between 2 and 50 staff.
What does it cost?
It varies by what you need, which is why the first conversation is free.
The first conversation costs you nothing except honesty about where your business is really at.
